Instead of entering the doorway, turn around and head up the staircase until you see an item stashed away to your right in the central platform of the stairs. After defeating the First Warden, head down the newly opened stairway until you reach a large wooden door that gives you the option to leave. Shortly after beginning the game, you have the opportunity to access one of the most powerful artifacts the game offers, the Shard of Heroes! To reach it, you need to fight your way to the end of the intro section of the Monastery before you head outside. Respec Your Character/Obtain Secret Class Weapon
While Lords of the Fallen doesn't have an abundance of secrets to explore, the ones it does have contain powerful pieces of loot that can turn the tide of war to your favor.
